Multi Choice busy with *****

So you all know when you receive a phone call they through the book at you with the poppie act, So how does the poppie act protect me as a customer? Friday I'received an sms from Absa for a debit from Multi Choice of R575!! Please note we do not even have a decoder for more than a year and a half, but they just deducted money from my account!! I phoned them asked to check the ref nr on my account was not linked finally the found the debit order on my husbands name, We did not sign any contract nothing so who gave them the right to just use our old info and debit our account? Phoned absa to return the debit order which I have to pay for even though we did not sign anything???? My case was "reffered"to a manager still waiting for response from them. Please check your bank statements every month as the poppie act work just for some companies and not for us.

If that was the case why only now after more than a year with no mails or phone calls this appears? I've cancelled the dstv a month in advance and the lady said if they do deduct I should just go to the bank to return the debit order, which I did, not my fault that they did not stopped the use of it, after my month of cancellation I toss the decoder in the dusbin, as we are not using it due to repeats and payment were no longer feasible. How can you charge clients if someone at your division did not do a proper job ? It' just strange that no one ever phoned or mail or anything since the cancelatio surely after 3 months or so if no payments were received someone would have followed up. This is not acceptable, and I'm sure if I did not report this it would not have been an issue. I'm still waiting since Friday when I phoned Dstv for someone to call me back regarding the unauthorized debit order, why didn't they tell me then that there were "outstanding" money? Please amend your records and delete all our info, as we are not interested in watching repeats all over again.
