Monopoly of Industry

I have struggled with catch-up and preset records since mid January. The problem persists. I have taken the Explora decoder to the N1 City walk-in centre, twice, to be told there is nothing wrong with the machine. After many phone calls to the self help line and no improvement I eventually paid an installer to check my system and was told due the upgrade in software which was done in Mid Jan my LNB needed to be upgraded which we did. Still no improvement - it appears my decoder hard drive is not working. The decoder is only two years old, is this normal? My other decoder (1year old) works fine but I fear when Multichoice needs to make money they will upgrade the software and I'll need another replacement. It really irritates when when they ask me if the machine is insured, which you pay anothe R75 a month for.

Thanks, MultiChoice for resolving my issue with faulty decoder. There was a hiccup on Sat but that was cleared by your Call Centre.

After almost 2 months with a reconditioned machine(Explora 1)..........it no longer works. I spent my public holiday at a walk in centre. To be told I need another machine. I decided to persevere with this machine but to no avail. I am now on my 2nd reconditioned Explora 1 and it does not record. After many hours on the phone with the call centre they tell the machine needs to be checked. What will it take for this to stop wasting my time?
