mislead by DSTV
<p>In 2016 I called DSTV to deactivate my extraview as im not needing it anymore and only require the main tv in our lounge, the consultant assured me that it would be deactivated and on 1st Jan i wouldnt be paying the additional amount. Come 1st of Jan i received my bill and noticed I was still being billed, Feb bill came and the same thing, i called DSTV to follow up and they told me that even though i have cancelled the service, i will always have to pay the additional amount as the rewind and playback service is an extra, this is absolute *******. i already pay alot of money for the premium package (R759 and the boxoffice price of R35). i should not be paying the R85 extra.</p>

As it has been brought to your attention, you will be charged for the PVR functionality which gives an access to record, rewind, pause and fast forward.
The R85.00 for Access service fee gives you an additional viewing environment without having to pay an extra subscription, and so saves you money. This additional environment can be through another decoder connected in XtraView or through the recording capacity on your decoder.
