Mis-sold DStv internet - Told R150 to cancel, now they want R855.45.

I have been following up since April 2026.

A sales lady sold me DStv internet. I told her I only want it for a few months. She said I can cancel anytime with only R150. She never told me about a 24-month contract or R855.45.

I have my own router and I do not use this service.

Since April I have called more than 5 times. In April they said they will check records. They never called back. On 5 November they said "final decision, pay R855.45" and refused to transfer me to Sindisiwe.

Now I cannot pay my DStv Compact R470 separately because they put DStv and internet on one account. My DStv is blocked, my granny and kids have no TV.

I have reported to the Ombud. DStv must honour what I was told - R150 - or cancel for free.
