Lightning strikes and takes hours to restore.

When lightning strikes in the area, my decoder takes hours to get signal again. A few of my few programs which do not get repeated are missed...eg Farmer wants a wife (channel 174) on Sun evening and is not on catchup. The decoder reboots after a while but still 90% of the channels are missing. Some of the programs on dstv which are in catchup, are missing (eg Carte Blanche) ie, misses episodes (not that its on new series). Is dstv really worth the money?

Obviously you did not read my comments. I did reboot my decoder. It also rebooted itself automatically as well. Without rebooting, why do channels eventually come back automatically after hours...sometimes more than 4 hours. There is NOTHING wrong with my connections. SABC channels were back online very quickly after the lightning strike. Even the date and time on the decoder last night after 3 hours was showing 9 Sept. Where does that date come from?
