Lack of compliance to POPIA Act by Multichoice employees

I am so astonished at the lack of customer service displayed by Mulitchoice call center agents. I called Customer Care this morning to lay a complaint. It took me 4 tries to get an agent on the phone. The phone was hung up in my ear the previous 3 times. When I eventually spoke to an agent, the lovely lady said it would be better to go onto Hello Peter to lay a complaint because my complaint might not be attended to if I do it via the *** mailbox. So here I am, laying my complaint. Mulitchoice will tell its customers that "your personal information is protected under the Popia Act" and so forth, which is far from the truth. I have had an employee of Mulitchoice use my personal information, which the person has access to, for their private use. My personal information which should be kept private, was used to bully me into being silent about a private matter that had transpired between myself and the employee in question. How can there be no complaints process for Multichoice customers? What measures are in place at Mulitchoice to ensure that their employees do not abuse their access to our personal information? Not only is this an infringement of the POPIA Act by Mulitchoice, but a violation of my right to privacy. Since I could not get assistance from a Multichoice Customer Care agent, I will be exploring other avenues to get to the bottom of this. Completely unacceptable.
