I’ve had enough of DSTV.

I wonder what’s happening over there at Multichoice? I’ve been debited properly all this time suddenly in November 2023 there’s an extra R199 for a Netflix subscription. Mind you I have no Netflix subscription at all. For Netflix you need to use your email to subscribe and they debit your account directly, but DStv decided to take the graceful liberty to add the apparent subscription to my account. So even if I had a Netflix account/subscription, I’d still be double debited.

I called Dstv a number of times requesting them to fix this. They keep telling me to cancel my so-called Netflix account from my side. Don’t I first need a Netflix account in order to cancel it? What am I cancelling that doesn’t exist??? They are blatantly refusing to remove the Netflix subscription when I don’t even have Netflix. They charged me again in December and I refused to pay until they remove the subscription and refund my R199 from November. I just checked my statement today, 5th January 2024 and my bill still doesn’t make sense. The Netflix is removed but November R199 is not refunded, they charged me double for insurance and added PVR which I cancelled years ago, I’m being charged double for insurance…its just a lot I don’t understand.

Please cancel my account. I beg you, please cancel it. Please close it. Enough is enough. I would much rather jump ship and go to Netflix directly. Paying R199 is much better than the R1300 bill for a premium subscription at Dstv.
