ITC listing - no invoice or notification!
I used to pay my dstv account by EFT. I made full payment on 25 June 2015. On 2 July 2015, I received an invoice stating that my balance was R0.00, and that if I wanted to continue viewing dstv from 28 July to 28 August, I should pay R657 by 28 July. I did not pay the R657 as I did not want to continue my subscription. Unbeknownst to me, Multichoice continued to provide services until the middle of August 2015, amounting to R354.

I did not receive any further invoices after 2 July 2015, so I was not aware that I owed money. No one from Multichoice called me or emailed me, or even posted the invoice, so I had NO CLUE THAT I OWED THE MONEY.

Now I am trying to buy a house and get a cellphone contract, and I am told I have a listing on my credit record from Multichoice for an amount that is 3 months in arrears.

How is this fair?

Surely there is something in the credit act about notifying the consumer of the debt?

I have now paid the outstanding amount, and sent the proof of payment to [Email Removed]

Multichoice, please make sure the listing is permanently removed, otherwise I will have to approach the Credit Ombud.

I will NEVER subscribe to dstv EVER again.
