What the ….Multichoice???? I received another email TODAY from Insites Consulting inviting me to participate in a (The?) survey that you’ve commissioned. It’s dated 8 July and has the hook: “MultiChoice has an exciting survey for you”. And when I click on the link to actually participate? “
We appreciate your interest, but unfortunately this survey is now closed”. AGAIN! (see 14 July’s review). So Exciting! Where’s the disconnect? I’s bad enough that your Premium Package offering is – for me as a senior citizen - so k*k(!) but this survey SNAFU (which, if you don’t know, is an acronym for Situation Normal - All F****d Up) only confirms my view that you guys have lost the plot! (more on this later on). Premium Package? Bullsh*t! More like, it’s a case of broadcast a lot of ******* for the modern mindless *****s and hype it up as if it’s the greatest thing since diced carrots. You currently list up to 168 channels in the various Bouquet Options out of which I have selected 38 (which includes 14 sport - and yes, I understand that you try to cater for a wide variety of subscriber) and even with these I experience so frequently, that there’s nothing to watch of an evening . I’m quite sure that these views represent those of many (if not the large majority) of your senior citizen subscribers and I’m also pretty sure that the large numbers of subscribers that you’ve lost, as per media reports, are from the higher age groups. You might respond that I can always “upgrade” to your “value add” extras – at a cost – but I decline to do so, whilst the Premium Package gives me so little for so much, and, to boot, I have to put up with all the hype and the decoder/remote functionality that is soooo 80’s, meaning that you’ve never improved this in some 30 years (and I’m awaiting a breaking news item that archaeologists have dug up a fossilised DSD decoder). I read often in the media about your attempting to position yourself as an “aggregator” but let me tell you that, when I migrate to fibre (probably later this year) and by which time it may be abundantly clear that you are going to lose your monopoly of TV sports broadcast…..I’m Gone!!! There’s plenty on offer out there from which I can probably get a better deal and far more satisfaction!
