Insurance issue
In January, I had my main decoder replaced due to an E48 error, following a system inspection by an installer which cost R1200. Unfortunately, in October, the replacement unit—originally installed in January—began displaying the same E48 error again. It’s important to note that the January replacement was a reconditioned unit. On 3 October 2025, while at the Randburg office, I lodged a formal claim requesting that the faulty unit be replaced with a brand-new decoder, not another reconditioned one, as I’ve repeatedly received reconditioned units and remain dissatisfied with their reliability. The unit was inspected in September at an additional cost of R 1200. As of today, 31 October 2025, I have yet to receive the replacement unit. This delay is unacceptable, and given the repeated issues and lack of resolution, I am left with no option but to cancel my insurance.
