**** insurance from DSTV.
Hi. DSTV assigned some company to call me regarding an insurance. The consultant who spoke to me said DSTV is offering a benefit insurance of R83 which will be deducted once off, on the 5th of next month when my bill is due for July. She said this would cover a beneficiary chosen by me to continue to watch DSTV free for 2 years and an amount of R23000.00 should I pass on.. When I asked her again about the payment she said it's one off thing and thereafter I won't be paying except for my my usual subscription amount. I suspected a foul play on this because there were moments when I would hear her mentioning something like 2 rands but every month in her statement and she was speaking very fast, saying that it's a long list of terms conditions that she needs to read to me for me to accept therefore she must be as fast as possible. I listened but an amount of R2 every month kept on coming in these terms and conditions and declaration that I agree or not. I stopped her and told her her I keep hearing her mentioning R2 on the background as if she's turning down the volume when mentioning this amount and I asked her if she's not tricking me into agreeing into a monthly insurance scheme and she said no.
To my surprise when I sent my friend to go pay my DSTV monthly premium on that day the insurance money was charge yet I was told the once off insurance money was going to be added on my next monthly bill for DSTV.
Here is the thing; just after that day I received an email confirming that i agreed and app**** for a monthly premium of R83 on this insurance yet the girl who phoned me about it said it's a once off payment turning the volume down when stating that she actually selling a monthly payment insurance from DSTV.
Can DSTV please refund my money back and cancel this **** insurance please...
