Incorrectly debited and zero assistance to Resolve

It seems that the only way I can get resolution from Multichoice on issues is to complain on Hello Peter. Following the normal channels via the Call centre is a complete waste of my time and money.

I was sent an sms on 22 Feb by Multichoice to advise that I needed to settle an amount of R224.00 before 24 Feb or be disconnected. This puzzled me as I have paid via debit order for the past 8 years. I called the Call centre on 22 Feb at 8:50am, the agent was unable to tell me why I recevied the sms, she advsied that someone from Accounts would call me back and then proceeded to cut me off when I asked for a reference number.

I took up the Explora upgrade option whch confirmed that I will be paying R799 per month going forward. Yet, I have jst been debited an amount of R835. The call centre agent was unable to give me an explanation for this as well.

I was also assured that I would be exempt from the annual increase amount for the next 2 years but have received a Notice of Increase email from Multichoice.

Can someone (anyone) there catch a serious wake up and resolve my issues. This is boils down to \*****ing a customer's money"because I pay via debit order."""

Hello Milli N,

Please accept our sincerest apologies for poor service you experienced in dealing with our call centre.

Thank you for taking the time to point out our service failings.

We unfortunately cannot track the sms that was sent to you. Looking at your account, the amount given in the sms never reflected.

The Price Increase letter was sent to you as it was already queued to be sent before your DPP activation was done.

The activation correction from R99 to R799 is what caused the error in your billing. We have reversed this and your debit order will collect less next month.

As we continually strive to improve our service, feedback such as yours is extremely valuable.

Your support, and that of all our customers, is important to us. We hope you will give us the opportunity to correct the service you have received to date.
