Incorrectly charged
I received an sms reminder for my monthly DSTV payment and it was more than it should have been, approximately R200 more. I called the call centre who had apparently picked up the issues, which was a reconnection fee as well as Showmax fee...after stating my case it was found that the two payments were not valid, the call centre agent had told me that he would sort it out...today I still got billed for things that I should not have been!!!

Thank you for sending us your query.
According to our records, it shows that you were a Price lock account holder. The monthly subscription for the Premium package was R699.00 and R80.00 for the recording functionality (installation and discount not included).
When the Price Lock account was cancelled. The Premium service had to be reconnected on the normal residential DStv account. For this reason, the current pro rata balance for Premium package (R789.00) and the recording functionality (R85.00) was charged on 26 November 2017. Also, the R99.00 ShowMax fee was charged which is now reversed.
Going forward, you will be charged for the Premium service and the recording functionality. You will continue to get ShowMax for free as a Premium subscriber.
