*********** STAFF and LACKING COMPANY PROCESSES AND SYSTEMS

Firstly can I just point out that I’m not even holding my breath to have this complaint attended to & resolves. Multichoice does not care about the CUSTOMER SERVICE HORROR STORIES we keep seeing on Twitter and hellopeter.

03 Aug I did a change of ownership from Customer Number *** (my mother’s acccount) to *** (mine). I was paying extra for my mother’s account monthly and subsequently there was a R820 credit on the account when I did the change of ownership.

The “smart” person that was assisting with the change of ownership processed an inter account transfers OUT for R820.81 instead of processing an inter account transfers IN for R820.81 for Customer Number ***‘s account.

06 Aug I was calling to fix an On screen error when Itumeleng (not sure about the name) picked up this error and tried to fix it. However his mistake was he processed an INTER ACCOUNT TRANSFERS IN for R600.00 and R220 only ONCE, which should add up to the R820.81 which ONLY fixes the mistake done on 03 Aug but still does not credit the account.

But now no one at this massive corporation seems to have the ability to read a simple statement and no one has basic accounting skills to understand that those 2 transactions cancel each other out (a debit and a credit), meaning there should be another credit that fixes the problem! NOT A SINGLE STAFF MEMBER is able to assist when I call, I even went to Randburg, I was attended to by an Abigail who promised to resolve and call me back but has not done so to date! She could not even give me a reference number for my query. How are you training your staff when they do not know how to assist customer who pay lots of money to watch repeats?!

2 months later my matter was resolved thank you Edward Nhlapho. It’s sad that we have to write to hellopeter when service centres and call centres are our first point of contact. Pathetic really! How does a big company like Multichoice have staff assisting with account queries when they do not know how to read & understand a simple account statement?!

Apology accepted thank you.
