Incompetence and faulty system / lack of staff training

Unfortunately, we South Africans are so used to using descriptions like, useless, terrible, unprofessional etc etc ad nauseum when the occasion calls for our complaints about service delivery in this country. It is really getting boring now. I am a government pensioner and for the past year or two have always had the Compact package on DSTV. I called in with a recording problem on my PVR on 21 December, this could not be resolved, but I have today been advised that I was unwittingly "blessed" with an upgrade to PREMIUM either by your FAULTY system or your staff member Andile Khanyile, who I had spoken to on that day. I am now speaking to Kathleen Maleke on a Prolonged telephone call for which I AM PAYING in order to reverse the Premium charges. I do not see why I need to use my pension money to rectify your mistake and I hereby request R100 discount on this month'c COMPACT subscription for compensation for telephone charges and irritation for having to do your job for you.

Furthermore, you will see that my November and December statements (attached) say that I owe R56 but now you want R744.00 going forward. Your website does not give ongoing statements. Please arrange to have a 6-month reconciliation (statement) of my account emailed to me so that I can see where you are claiming amounts. Please also ensure that monthly statements are emailed to me that do not state that I owe you the same R56 each month. I had not DSTV service from 22 August to some time in November as I had no TV - it was ****** - once again another 'standard' practice in South Africa. Please send the 6 month statement. Thank you.
