Idrifta breaking moment warranty expires

I've used my Idrifta for a year now without one single problem. Last week it stopped working all of a sudden. I called Multichoice to try and fix it but the call center agents where not capable and just kept on telling me to restart my Ipad and try to reconnect the Idrifta. I then decided to drive all the way to multichoice who tested the Idrifta and told me that it just kept on saying searching for channels. The guy checked to see if they can replace this for me and surprise surprise the warranty expired on the 14th of March. The Idrifta stopped working on the 15th of March and it is not damaged at all it just suddenly stopped working from their side. This is the second time this has happened as my DSTV Walka stopped working round about a month after the warranty expired. This is shocking and their only advice to me was that it is time to buy a new one. Horrible service and very ***** that it just stopped working without anything happening to it.
