I was never advised of new terms and conditions

I called on Thursday to discontinue my Dstv service. The girl I spoke to advised I'm not allowed because Dstv changed their rules. I have done this before and it was never a problem. Now I want to disconnect and I'm told last year the terms and conditions of my contract where amended. This was done without me being notified. I asked to speak to a supervisor he was even more unhelpful, that boy needs more training, I asked him to escalate my query and 2 days later I'm waiting for a call he assured me I would receive on Thursday the 8th October. Can someone call me and resolve this matter asap. Before I take this any further.

Hello molefem1,

Please accept our apology for the delayed response.

Our records indicate that you have been assisted. Your DStv service is now disconnected.

Please note that our billing policy stipulates that your service can only be terminated at the end of your monthly billing cycle. For this reason, we would schedule the service linked to your smartcard number on our system for the disconnection of your service.

This rule is not new, it has always been part of our terms and conditions. Previously we allowed customer's to disconnect and downgrade the service during their billing month.

We apologise for the miscommunication received regarding our terms and conditions.

Should you require any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
