Horrified in the way that Multichoice conducts themselves!

I have a DSTV account a home for my mother and brothers and we have another one at our place of residence with my husband, which is in his name. Last year in June we signed up for price check and received an explorer. the premiums went off my husbands bank account directly and all was well until October or November 2018. the bank account was debited for a double installment in November/December;he, not knowing the details or the reason for the double deduction went and reversed the extra payment. in February or March of 2019, the DSTV was disconnected. There was no warning, nor was there an SMS sent advising him of the account status/balance. He visited the multi choice branch in Philiphi and was referred to N 1 city and told to contact the call center alternatively. when he called the call center he was told that the account is in arrears and R 2300.00 needs to be paid before re connection. We were under the impression that multichoice is getting payments as they should; because not one SMS was sent before they disconnected us, advising us that they didnt receive payment nor did we get one of those mail messages that pop up on the TV reminding of payment close to the end of the month. Instead, multichoice kept the DSTV on for 4 whole months without receiving payment, before they disconnected us. This creating the impression that we are up to date obviously, because everyone knows that after the 1st or the 7th for the latest if payment is not received multi choice will disconnect!! The lady at the call center confirmed that during this time, there was not a single sms sent or call made to us to advise us of the payment/s that had not been received, when we inquired as to why that was, she told us she doesn't know. For them to contact us R 2300.00 later to tell us we are 4 months behind and hand us over to legal for something they have not provided clarity on is atrocious. If they did not receive payment they should have contacted or disconnected the thing like they always do. what were they waiting for???
