Holiday viewing not available anymore
I phoned the call centre to link my smart card to the decoder at the holiday home I booked. The holiday home advertised that you need to bring your own smart card with. I was told by the call centre this is no longer allowed. I must bring my own decoder if I want to watch DSTV, however the connection must be the same. Which in this case it is not, I have an Explora and the holiday home is a normal HD decoder. The agent then told me to go buy a new decoder and pay a full subscription for the week and there is nothing else I can do. Why do I pay R800 pm if there is no additional services when you are on holiday. Most accommodation requires you to bring your own smart card, but now DSTV has stopped this service. Another reason to go away from DSTV and explore other satellite TV services. Why do they advertise this service if it is no longer an option?
