HD Decoder hard drive faulty
I just wanted to warn Multichoice customers about Multichoice's scheme to force customers of old PVRs to buy the new Explora PVR.
As it happened. I own a black HD PVR as well as the new Explora PVR. Both PVRs were located in one room - sending signals to 2 TVs in different rooms. everything worked in perfect operating mode, until I have asked a DTSV technician to move the decodres close to the TVs. Since then, the black HD PVR started giving connection problems:
Error message 1 - - no heart beat from Primary decoder (Explora)
Next error message - hard drive faulty

Took the decoder back to Mutlichoice with their response - hard drive faulty - you have to pay R600 to fix it.

This is unacceptable - and the problem is that Multichoice have the monopoly regarding playing of sport channels.
So, sport *****s are actually *****ed . They have to continue making use of Multichoice decoders as well as subscribing to their expensive packages.

Thank you.
Meervin Cunningham
