Hi Jaun-Mare Venter,

We were unable to get hold of you telephonically earlier.

Decoder warranty is only for 12 months and this does not serve as insurance to the device. Decoder insurance is taken separately with our insurance department. When you taken the insurance you will be charged an additional monthly insurance fee for the device. A FAIS accredited consultant would have contacted you for you to take up the decoder insurance, and you would have a policy number and insurance documents sent you, that detail the terms of your cover. There is no time limit as to when you can take up decoder insurance, and you could have taken insurance right after purchasing your devices.

Looking into your DStv account, you do not have insurance for your devices.

As you do not have insurance, if your decoder is now found faulty, as technical devices from time to time they will start to malfunction, the agency will charge you a basic repair charge fee should you wish swap the decoder or have it fixed.

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us send us an email at ***.

Kind regards,
DStv: Hello Peter Team.

Best regards,
