Get someone else to do the free installation

I have purchased an Explora decoder with installation and on trying to verify the installation voucher (as instructed in the box) I found that the number that you have to dial does not work. I phoned the DSTV call center and after I was given 3 different number to dial, one of your staff said that the problem is with the installers, Ellies. When asking Ellies about this, they blame MultiChoice. I have also had the unfortunate privileged to deal with Ellies' call center yesterday and you really have to consider using another installer, because the level of service they render is shocking. It's not fair to us, your paying customers, to be subjected to this. See the attached picture of my complaint to them.

MultiChoice Hello Peter team
Good day,
Thank you for contacting me this week. An installer did call me, but as soon as he heard that my Explora came with an Ellies voucher, he said that they do not work with Ellies vouchers as they only come with trouble. I told him that I completely understand, and if I were in his shoes, I would certainly make the same choice.
So I decided to return my Explora as I did not want to deal with Ellies any longer. The same day an Ellies installer (Ronney John from Ronney's dish installat) contacted me, and I made the mistake to give him a chance to do the installation. When I told him that I work, and that the installation would have to be in the afternoon, he immediately made me feel like I was a needy client and he was doing me a favor, and said that he lived on the other side of Pretoria and will get home too late, but he will come in the afternoon. We made an appointment for Friday 14:00. Apparently he lives in Attridgeville where the xenophobic march was on Friday. We knew about this march for almost the whole week and he could have known that it would be chaos. I phoned him at 12:30 to confirm our appointment and he told me that he might not be able to get out because of the march, but he will try. Now, although I am sympathetic about this, he could have let me know, because we cancelled plans to be at home for the installation. He said that he would call me back the same day to make an appointment for Saturday if he was not able get out on Friday. Again, I called him at 15:30 on Friday and he said that he will be there on Saturday at 11:00 after a funeral that he attended. To no surprise, I had to call him by 11:30 and he did not pick up his phone. We cancelled plans for Saturday as well to wait for him. It’s not my responsibility to confirm if he is coming. It’s common decency to call your clients if you are late or will not make the appointment.
So today we got a refund and went to another store to buy an Explora that came with a DSTV voucher. The call center has already made contact and I have a feeling that I will not be disappointed this time.
I urge you once again not to partner with Ellies, as every single one of the complaints on Hello Peter is about DSTV installation. As I said to you on the phone, I'm not complaining about DSTV or Multichoice, as I understand that you don’t have supervision over the installation process, but having Ellies on board is really bad for you.
Thank you for the assistance and that you came back to me, I really appreciate that.
