Frustrating beyond imagination

We have dual veiw, twice a year our setting s go haywire between primary and secondary decoders. I call DSTV call sentre and we go through the usual chanels of rebooting and unplugging without result, eventually we unplug our units and take a half an hour drive to the dstv offices, They find no problem with our units and reboot from their side and we are back in service. Today the error was reset telephonically from DSTV office and we were back in service, when I enquired as to the reason that this occurs (With no cable or setting changes from our side) I was assured that the error was a system error and would be rectified within an hour and would not happen again. I received a call from DSTV at 20H45 this evening where I was instructed to reboot again and check rf in and out etc (None of these settings were or have ever been tampered with, no cables have beeen touched), every time we receive the same outcome. When I explain that the last time this happened we were told to get a technician i to sort the problem out it cost me R650.00 and all along the problem lay with a change that had occured on the DSTV platform. When I requstred the Name of the help desk operator this evening I was met with silence and informed to pull out the decoder to check the cable connections at the back of the decoder, objecting to this the phone was slammed down in my ear. This is what I pay almost R900.00 per month for. Does DSTV not realise that they are a dying brand that the unexpecting public are paying an arm and a leg for. My service will be terminated. The ****er blow is the attitude and complete ignorance of the helpdesk staff who seem not to know "which end of the stick is the sharp end" This archaic system is becoming a thorn in my side!!!! And the bombastic attitude is worse!!! Bring on the alternatives of which there are many........ utterly disgusted.
