********** DEBIT ORDER
Debit order deducted from my account without consent. I do not have an account with Multi-choice.

03 Nov 2022, 08:28I received a call back from DSTV after this complaint. The lady I spoke to was helpful. the line went down, and she called me back after-hours, which indicates to me that they would like to make amends.
They said it was a 'glitch in the system' that caused the debit order to go off.
I don't believe this as I think regulated enterprises like these has better internal controls than that. But anyway.
I requested the debit order to be written back by my bank and the money has been written back.
According to Multichoice they removed my banking details from their system to prevent this from happening again. I will look out next month to see if this is the case.
