Forced to pay Insurance

I stopped paying DSTV as I did not need it anymore,on the 12/02/2024 I received am email that my insurance is in arrears ,I rep**** to the email that I am no longer interested on their products that they should cancel the insurance and also on the 28 of the same month I rep**** to an email that I am no longer interested in thier insurance that they should cancel...now they say I owe them R300+ which I did ask them to cancel insurance,I called them on the 18/08/2025 they told me they can't credit or cancel the balance as I did not sent my own email to cancel insurance that I only rep**** to the email the sent that my account is in arrears,that I should have started my own conversation...and apparently the manager for the insurance department is that one that said so..
