Forced Credit
My DSTV was not paid in the month of July 2015 and now when i want to pay i am told (agent called Bafana) i am in areas with 1 month because DSTV was not deactivated and he goes on about the DSTV terms and conditions.

I have a problem with this for the following reasons: My account is a prepaid account, and since 2009 if i don't pay i get disconnected i never signed any document or agreement that i want to watch DSTV on credit.

For these reasons if you check the National Credit Act DSTV is not authorized to force me into credit..

I request DSTV reset my subscription so i can pay the R779 + R50 for August as we normally have been doing for years or DSTV can cancel this account of which i will reserve the right to take this matter further with a lawyer in the shape of a civil case since I did not sign any credit agreement with DSTV.
We do apologies for the inconvenience you experienced in this regard .DStv service is a month-to-month contract - when you pay your subscription, the contract for that month is fixed.
It is the responsibility of the subscriber to inform MultiChoice that they will not be using the service for the upcoming month.
Should this not be done the subscriber will be held responsible for any additional amount accumulated on your account.
We've now implemented a tool to schedule your upgrades, downgrades or suspension of services .You may phone us or use self-service at any time to request the change, which we will implement on your next payment date.
According to our records your invoice date (pay date) is on the 27 of every month.
Thank you for taking the time to point out our service failings. As we continually strive to improve our service, feedback such as yours is extremely valuable.
Your support, and that of all our customers, is important to us.
Regards
Rupert
