Force to download

After installing the DSTV modem and setting up a connection to get access to Showmax, my Catchup changed too. Now I am forced to use data to watch series or movies on Catchup that used to be available without the modem. Almost all programs on catchup now has to be downloaded. I do not have uncapped internet and therefore I wasted money on buying the modem. How can DSTV now force you to have to download your old programs to watch where they were freely available in the past???
