My DSTV decoder gave a no signal message.

This morning I took it to be tested and the test revealed it was fine. The assistant informed me it was most probably the LNB. I enquired about a technician coming to site however Monday was the first available time. She told me I could purchase an LNB and check if it worked. I purchased the LNB, it was in an unsealed box.

I installed the new LNB, no improvement. I got a private technician to come out. He tested both the old and the new LNB and both were 'broken'. He installed a new LNB and charge me R700 for parts and labour.

I went back the Lynnwood DSTV self service shop to return the faulty merchandise. Both the assistant and manager agreed to take back the faulty, without testing it themselves (strange), LNB however they would exchange it, not return my money. I indicate to them because of their faulty product I had to undergo an additional R700 expenses. The manager still refused!

I then started thinking why didn't they even question whether it indeed was faulty. Is Lynnwood DSTV self service in the business of selling damaged products?

I want my money back! And maybe even my additional costs incurred
