FAULTY DECODERS
My story with 5 decoders started on 3 August 2019
I had to exchange 4 faulty decoders, with error message ''catchup and box office not available in this country'', I phoned the call centre on several occasions, waited 48 hours but the problem persisted. Spent more than 2 hours in total calls. Because DSTV in Eden Glen and their call centre could not solve the problem, I called a Technician to assist. The 5th decoder worked, I went to the shop again to find out what the problem might have been and was told that they are busy investigating the matter seeing that it could have been a faulty batch of decoders.
Long story short; I made 4 to 5 trips to the shop, had to pay the technician R1 400 to assist, cell phone charges in the amount R200?, total costs R1 800.00
Sent DSTV helpdesk an e-mail where I had to explain the matter to 3 different agents. I am still waiting for the Supervisor to phone me back.
What now? Is it that DSTV is a local company and have no opposition that the supervisor does not phone me back. Only asking.
