Faulty decoder
I've just discovered that Multichoice has given my 72 year old mom the run around. She has been a M-net customer since they started. Three weeks ago her decoder packed up. She went to Skye TV and they said they had no stock. Phoned Maynard mall and they said they had. When she got there they had no stock. They told her she would have to drive to N1 city to get a decoder. That's a huge ask to drive from Muizenberg to N1 city for a pensioner. After speaking to customer service they arranged for one to be sent to Maynard mall. Mom went there, they didn't know how to tune it? And paid over R400 for it. They told her to take it to Skye TV to tune. Skye TV had a problem getting the decoder to keep the tuning, but suggested she check at home to see if it works over the weekend, if not, to take it back to Maynard mall. After sukkeling for a day, speaking to Customer services who says there's no problem, It was suggested she goes to N1 city.! End result, as I've just discovered, she had been without M-net for 3 weeks and nobody at Multichoice actually wants to help. A faulty decoder was supp**** and now everybody is backtracking. This is how you treat customers of 30 years. Shame on you !
