Multichoice must just accept that their Single view HD decoders has fault. When I am busy watching it just blinks (showing black screen for a second or two). I have reported this issue from May 2016 and until today they are still investigating. Whenever I call the technician assigned to deal with this issues he keeps promising to call back within 30 minutes but never calls. I provided Multichoice with evidence(videos and pictures) to help them investigate, I doubt if they even looked at them.
To confirm that it is not issue with my decoder only, whenever it blinks in the presence of my visitors they comment like “Yours does this too?” and I will ask them “Are you using Single View HD decoder?” Their answer is always YES. There was a time where they loaned me a single view SD decoder and I never experienced this issue. The other time they loaned me PVR decoder and I never experienced this issue.
I’m don’t why Multichoice is ignoring this issue and why they don’t update me regarding their “Investigations”.
I now even considering Open View maybe I will get a better service there.

DStv: Hello Peter Team
Best regards,
Good day Lavhe
According to our records, the decoder was last tested earlier this year in March 2017.
Kindly have the decoder tested at the nearest DStv service centre or agency. If there's no fault with the decoder, you will be required to contact an accredited DStv installer to check the installation and give relevant feedback.
Should the problem persist even after an installer has checked the installation. Kindly send the name and the contact details of an installer to ***. The matter will be referred to the technical team for a thorough investigation.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Kind regards
Dinah
