False promises - delivery of decoder
Multichoice (DSTV) has been aggressivley marketing its Explora decoder on a two year payment plan, with a price lock (i..e no price increase over the period of the contract). As this seemed an attractive deal, I opted for it on 31 March 2016. This entailed going through a telephonic process to authorise a debit order over a 24 month period. I was told that the debit order would be effected and that the decoder would be delivered within a week. 23 days later, and after more than 10 telephone calls neither the debit order nor the decoder has materialised. Each time I call in I am told that: (i) another department deals with this (ii) the matter will be escalated, and a promise is made that someone will call me back witihn 24 hrs. Even this promised call back has not materialised. I am tired of hearing apologies and prmises. This is the worst service EVER! Now that Multichoice has my instruction on recored to proceed with a debit order it feels it has a right to treat me with disdain, and disrepect - the sense I have is that they have secured a 24 month payment from me - and therefore feel it is their right to be non-responsive, nor deliver the promised goods.
