False promises - delivery of decoder

Multichoice (DSTV) has been aggressivley marketing its Explora decoder on a two year payment plan, with a price lock (i..e no price increase over the period of the contract). As this seemed an attractive deal, I opted for it on 31 March 2016. This entailed going through a telephonic process to authorise a debit order over a 24 month period. I was told that the debit order would be effected and that the decoder would be delivered within a week. 23 days later, and after more than 10 telephone calls neither the debit order nor the decoder has materialised. Each time I call in I am told that: (i) another department deals with this (ii) the matter will be escalated, and a promise is made that someone will call me back witihn 24 hrs. Even this promised call back has not materialised. I am tired of hearing apologies and prmises. This is the worst service EVER! Now that Multichoice has my instruction on recored to proceed with a debit order it feels it has a right to treat me with disdain, and disrepect - the sense I have is that they have secured a 24 month payment from me - and therefore feel it is their right to be non-responsive, nor deliver the promised goods.

Good day Shaun

Our Price lock consultants have been trying to contact you without any successes.

Your request has been re- escalated to our price lock department for urgent attention. Feedback will be provided by telephonic or written correspondence as soon as more detail becomes available.

Regards

Rupert

Reviewer Update
Dear Rupert: Thank you for taking the time to respond (albeit almost 2 weeks later). Multichoice has my various contact details (email and telephonic) at hand - it is therefore a mystery to me why your consultants have experienced difficulty in contacting me over the duration of 12 days since my post here. Notwithstanding, I have been pursuing this with several further calls to your call centre over the past 2 weeks. Fortunately, I have found ONE consultant who kept up to her promise to email me with updates, and to resolve this matter. Her name is Patience Moagi - please commend her - She is the ONLY consultant who actually followed through on her promises. Perhaps you must use her as a case study during your professional training exercises and get other consultants to be as diligent.
