False advertising and conflicting information from call centre agents

This year I decided to make the annual payment as advertised in the newsletter DSTV fees 2023 which was emailed to all subscribers. The newsletter states an amount of R10,439 for 12 months if paid before 1 April. I contacted the call centre and was informed that the amount payable is R10,439 for 12 months if I make the payment before 1 April. I double checked that the 12 months can be from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 for that amount and it was confirmed by the agent. At the end of last month, I made the last monthly payment for March and confirmed again with another agent on the DSTV Facebook page that I can make the payment of R10,439 for 12 months starting 1 April as long as the payment is made before end of March. I was told to call again to ask that my subscription be changed to annual before I make the payment. Today I decided to ask an agent on the DSTV Facebook page that my subscription be changed to annual so that I can make the annual payment of R10,439 for April and the 11 months after that. I was informed that the newsletter and all the previous call centre agents I spoke to are wrong. Apparently according to the last call centre agent, I spoke to the amount I was quoted, only applies if the 1st month of the annual subscription is from March so the amount will be R500 more if I want it from April. I tried to explain that all the previous call centre agents I spoke to said it can be from 1 April at that amount but he/she (KM) didn't want to budge or let me speak to someone else. I've given up speaking to their call centre agents now as I feel I'm wasting my time.

On Saturday 4th of March at 3pm I was contacted by someone identifying himself as the person from DSTV providing the promised feedback. He assured me that the call centre agent who I had last spoken to (KM) contradicting everyone else as well as the newsletter DSTV fees, was incorrect and that the originally quoted R10,439 for the 12 months from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 was correct providing the payment was made within this month (before 1 April). There would be no extra R500 as the subscription amount only increases on 1 April.I asked him to please put that in writing for me via email which he promised to do. I also asked him to change my subscription to annual so that the R10,439 shows as the amount payable on their system. He said that he would immediately do that.To date, I am still waiting for those promises to be full filled and I unfortunately did not make a note of his name or ask for his contact details, all I have is the call id ***) which is meaningless. So I still don't have the assurance that I won't be charged the extra R500 as KM insisted if I decide to pay my subscription for 12 months from 1 April. I suppose it all depends on who processes the transaction.

Still no response from DSTV.....
I'm quite sure they keeping quiet having assured me verbally only that the quote for R10,439 is for 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
As soon as I make the payment they will break the silence to notify me that there is a balance of R500 still payable.

Yesterday a lady from DSTV called from a Cape Town number to assist with this complaint. When I finished explaining the issue to her she said "I don't know ...." and promised to speak to customer support and get back to me within 10 minutes.
.... well, the 10 minutes never happened and now more than 24 hours later still no call back.

4 days later and still waiting for the phone call after 10 minutes.

I have in the meantime realised that with the client service and support having become so terrible it would be a big mistake to pay in advance.
