FALSE ADVERTISING

On 14 February 2023 I received an email from DSTV with new prices from April 2023, with 2 options for price lock. Locked into my account on my DSTV profile, left a message as I didn't find the same option on my profile. I completed the enquiry for R839 according to the advert, "sms SAVE to 38214 and we will call you back" On the 17 February 2023 Thulani Ngwenya called, he started his sales started his sales pitch by telling me of the free decoder ant will be the same as I pay at the moment, after a while I remembered as a pensioner I wanted the cheaper option, I told him. On the 20 February 2023, Thulani Ngwenya called me again with the same option, was so cross as I do not want the same amount I pay at the moment. Refiloe Mashile called me the 22 February 2023, said she came back on my query. When I explained, her answer was I have to call customer service, when I said what about the advert I received. All what she said was "call customer service" I told her it was false advertising, as it stated "sms SAVE to 38214 and we will call you back". Her only answer was call customer service. I am very disappointed as I am a DSTV client since 1991, pay by debit order for the 32 years and this is how you're treated.
