Failure to contact me, again, regarding decoder insurance. A cliche now.

I have been trying for weeks now to get my decoders insured. I called in a few weeks back to cancel the decoder care package and asked for just plain insurance on each of my decoders @ R 39/month. I was told that I will be contacted. I was not contacted. I then went onto the online chat via the DSTV site earlier this week. I told the agent there that I had not been contacted. I was told that I will be contacted within 48 hours. 48 hours have passed, and I went onto the online chat again today. Kgaugelo assisted and then told me that I will be contacted within 24 - 48 hours. I rep**** that I was told that 48 hours ago, to which this person rep**** that I will have to wait for the call. If I have not heard from someone within 48 hours, I will then have to contact whichever department in DSTV/Multichoice to probably be told that I will be contacted within 48 hours. I am putting it on record here that should my decoders become defective within the this period of my decoders not being insured, the repair/replacement of these will be at DSTV/Multichoice's cost/account. The absolute inability of your staff to assist a client is at your detriment, not mine. Your failure to contact me, today 31 January 2025, will serve as confirmation that you are accepting the condition I have stated above.

The Hellopeter site might seem a bit of a lame channel to use, but in some cases it works wonders. I received a call from DSTV by an agent, who was quite unclear in her speech and rambled off at quite a pace. I had to ask her to slow down and repeat herself. During the conversation it was established that the decoder care plan was NOT cancelled as requested via a call to DSTV a few weeks back. I then asked to speak to a senior/manager. I was put through to a shift supervisor/team leader. I need to ask this person to please excuse me, but I think her name was ****ha. She understood my request clearly and her service was world class (world class might possibly be a foreign term to your HR department) . I received a call not long after we hung up and both decoders are now insured as requested. It's an absolute disgrace that DSTV/Multichoice values the jewels within their organization in the same light they value their clients, just another number and with not an ounce of appreciation. My correspondence dated September and August of last year has still to be dealt with. To date not a call from a senior person as requested. Not a single strand of compensation has been offered, making me wonder why I have been with DSTV for probably over 20 years. Anyway, thanks ****ha for sorting something so small and simple out in literally 5 minutes. You are worth triple your weight in gold and need to be placed in a higher and proper full managerial position. The *****s (and I use this term specifically with intent because of it's literal meaning) that are employed as front line staff within the call center and man the chat lines will be the death of anyone.
