Explorer - Worst buying experience in my life

It's taken 5 months to try resolve this. I purchase a 2 year Explorer contract. I have an HD which was working fine. In September 2016, the Explorer was delivered only to find that the Explorer was not compatible with my apartment block. DSTV charged me anyway. After numerous frustrating phone calls(by the way the Explorer department doesn't take incoming calls, so a message is left which very seldom ever gets returned as promised). So every few days the switch my HD off as the contract for the Explorer never gets deactivated and I have to phone and explain that my Explorer is being terminated. The Explorer eventually gets collected from me in Dec 2016. Once again every few days my HD gets suspended. The amount of "sorrys" I have heard is just crazy. After paying my HD account on the 1st Feb, Multichoice, today deducts R2800 from account for the Explorer. I call in and I am for the millionth that be told, my call will be escalated to the a supervisor and will call you back. So, now I wait.

Please be careful when buying an Explorer folks, they are quick to sell you this over the phone but it's the opposite if there is a problem. It's pathetic service, actually cruel what they have done to me and frustration and wasted time and phone call bills is just terrible.

So I called again yesterday afternoon to see if there is any progress. I was told that I will have to wait until Multichoice is ready to refund me. They apparently haven't terminated my contract yet and unfortunately the debit order went off anyway.

I didnt really expect more. I asked to please speak to a supervisor again as this is not acceptable to me. R4500 for DStV this month is very heavy and I can't afford to wait for them to pay me. I was promised yet again a call from the supervisor right away.

I am still waiting on that call as usual.

Dinah, you used these words in your reply yesterday "will contact you urgently". Why would you choose these words for a sentence? It doesn't make sense at all. The words you should think about using in future is: "Please be extremely patient, we probably won't return your call and we apologize that our service is pathetic". That would make more sense and is at least honest.

Then your customers know exactly where they stand.

Lets see how long I will wait. My attorneys I guess are next, maybe the police? You have actually ****** from me.

Tomorrow I will have to leave this holiday resort as this money was budgeted for my accommodation. The irony is that I supposed to be here to destress.

Thank you you very much!
