I purchased an explora on the pricelock plan in March or April 2016. It has never worked properly and I haven't been able to fulle enjoy it ever. I have phoned dstv on mutliple occasions and the literally tell me the same story over and over. I called multipple installers including the original ones twice. No one can fix my problem. It constantly reboots, constantly loses signal and gives a purple screen, it does not record my season recordings, it constantly reloads catchup and box office to a point where I can almost not use it. I have even gone in and replaced the box.

I would like this problem sorted out permantly, my money back or I'll have to pursue the matter through the courts.

If you’re experiencing continuous reboots and freezing on your Explora, your Explora hard drive needs to be formatted – below are the steps you need to follow.
Please note that you will lose all existing recordings, and your Catch Up and Box-office titles will have to load again. You’ll also need to reset all your scheduled recordings.
Below find steps to follow if your decoder start rebooting again.
· Reboot decoder while holding the p+ button on the front panel.
· Decoder will display “code”
· Press buttons in this sequence P-, P-,P-,P+
· Decoder will display “dl st”
· Press the P+ button to confirm
· The decoder will go through the upgrade
The Process is expected to take about 15 minutes.

Best regards,
Dear Rupert,
Thank you for the response.
Although it seems my rebooting problem might now been sorted, ALL the other problems are still persisting. Last night it froze, gave a purple screen and I had to switch it off and on again. When started up, it states my smartcard was not enabled. I ended up missing the champions league- numerous times this has now happened.
