Explora saga continues
After waiting almost two months, my Explora - ordered under the special R799 deal - was delivered on Wednesday 18 March - albeit to the wrong address !
I installed the and requested activiation of the unit as well as Xtraview so that my SD can also be linked at no extra charge. Had problems with the SD - kept getting 16-4 error but have been away for a week, getting home Friday 27th afternoon. Decided to call Multichoice to confirm Xtraview had been set up only to find that :
A) Xtraview had NOT been set up
B) My SD smart Cards allegedly can't be activated for Xtraview so I have to go to a Multichoice agency to have it changed at a cost of R99. As I live in the heart of Mpumalanga this is incredibly inconvenient - I was never told this when initially asking for Xtraview setup and my nearest agency is 100km away.
C) To cap it all, the Xtraview has NOT been registered under the R799 offer
I don't think in all my 73 years I have come across a more inept and unreliable company and can only wish there was an alternative ! There is obviously no interest in customer service. Multichoice - you should send me the new card for my SD by courier AT NO CHARGE !
