Expired internet contract

2 year's Internet contract that expire today not renewing, I contacted them last week notifying them I'm not renewing them, the issue now they want me to pay cancelation fee, I'm being ****** day lite, when I took this contract they said I will only pay for cancelation fee if I cancel it before it expire. I honestly don't understand how these people operate, I 'm not willing to pay that fee and I'm not interested in their internet package anymore.
