Escalation - how to NOT provide customer service!

Having made an annual payment to settle my subscription and benefit from last year's fees in early MARCH.... I find myself still attempting to work through the "call/hold centre" to get some form of service to resolve the issue of my account still showing that I owe them money (and receiving emails and SMS threatening loss of service).

This avenue appears well placed to repeatedly look at the problem and resolve that somebody else needs to fix it. Having "played this game" for a few months, the closest I have come is being given the "comfort" of a reference for a case and "escalation" that had been raised. After no contact or response to requsts for progress updates etc. I am told the best thing is to re-escalate as: only a supervisor can deal with the magcial department that can solve the issue and, suprise suprise, no supervisor is available (really??!!!).

To crown it all the "call centre agent" (I cannot bring myself to acknowledge them as service agents) wants to argue that they can help me - despite my polite reminders that I have a growing catalogue of examples that refute that assertion).
