Empty promise from DSTV
<p>for the past few weeks, I have been watching old movies from all the movies channels of DSTV and my package is DSTV extra, meanwhile they promised us the latest entertainment, so to be quite honest I don't see an value from my monthly premiums if I keep watching old movies and repeats of dramas etc. can something be done with this as we are the customers of DSTV and we need to see value of our premiums.</p>

We understand that you find repeats frustrating. Please be informed that MultiChoice does not schedule programmes but buys ready-made local and international channels. Each channel schedules new and recurring programmes according to a programme or movie's license specification. This means the channels we get are controlled by the licensing and broadcasting rights.
Programmes are also repeated to give our customers more chances to watch or record something they might have missed or to record on their PVRs a show they might have missed.
Different channels have different levels of repeats – a kids channel will repeat far more shows than a channel like M-Net. Different channels also cater for our customers on the different DStv packages – DStv Premium customers will see content that they had access to a few months ago, repeated later on channels that are open to customers on other packages like DStv Compact.
