Employee claims that customers have no say
I have been a loyal customer for a long time, and over the years have also got my family and friends to join. What I love about DSTV and Multichoice is the adoption of the technology, making it easier for us to access information and services etc. However I was most shocked about 2 weeks ago with the answer and information I received from a so called 'Manager'. I have over numerous occasions changed ownership of decoders, either due to buying a newer version for myself and giving the other away or whatever. This was usually a painless process over the phone. However as I found out when my sister's x-tra view decoder died, this policy was no longer in practice. . But now we need to get affidavits, certified copies of ID's, and fill out forms then it might be processed in 2-3 working days.

I wish there were more lines to rant. What I really want to complain about is the answer I received from Manager \Clint Schoeman"and I quote \""a huge company like us does not need to tell our customers anything\"" basically that I have no chance against unfair practice. My question to Multichoice and DSTV is have you ever heard of the consumer protection Act"""
