DSTV/PayU Expose Personal Information
i was using the WhatsApp service for DSTV South Africa. i wanted to upgrade my package and followed all the protocol on their service provided. they then sent me a link to go on to make payment. it sends you to a PayU link which you have to enter all your card details, which i did. my payment went through as successful. i called the DSTV Call Centre to try allocate the payment. the first agent i spoke to i was on the phone for more than 11 minutes, only for the agent to tell me that she has never heard of PayU. i don't understand this as this link was sent through by DSTV. she then put the phone down in my ear. so i call again, and the next agent tells me to send through the POP which i did. i call for a third time, and the agent says they cannot accept the proof of payment, i should send through my bank statement. i said to the agent the service did not say i should send through a POP or My bank statement. i asked them to allocate the money because their app told me it would be received in 5 - 15 minutes. (after all my calls to DSTV - time has passed to more than an hour). how can DSTV partner with PayU as my card has now been accessed by many people and many people have tried to use my card details. DSTV sent me this lin****! dSTV has exposed my personal information where people have now tried to use my card for their multichoice payments. i would like DTSV to get back to me as my personal information has been exposed to many people. i also now had to cancel the card as i am too afraid that other people will try using the card. i would like urgent feedback on the above from DTSV/Multichoice or i will be taking the matter further
