#DStvincompitentcallcentre

If its too good to be true its probably not true.............

On 3 Feb 2018 at 11h33 DStv marketing phone me. Their offer was as follow; Because I have been a client of them for so many years they decided to give me a Explora free, including installation, and a further R30.00 discount on my premium locked for 2 years on condition that I pay by debit order .This was not a problem as I have all along been paying by debit order and also that I already had Extra View activated. I asked her to please repeat the offer as I wanted to make notes. The lady Nombulela ref. no ********** 2/I239 confirmed the deal and the price lock at R844.00 pm for 24 months. At 11h42 I received an SMS to which I had to reply "HELP", which I did and received a return message to the effect that I would be contacted again within 48 hours. This never happended

I phone DStv later or possibly the following day as I thought it could be a ****. The call center operator confirmed that DStv Marketing had phoned and spoken to me according to her records. She told me that DStv from time to time to have specials running.

On 12 Feb 2018 I phoned DStv on ********** 000 as I have not heard from them as yet and also no delivery of a Explora has taken place. Vusani reference no. ********** 2/I 243 confirmed the price lock of R844.00. He suggested I phone their Field Services should I require more information.

The Explora was aventually delivered and the installation completed.

Come yesterday, 24 April 2018 I received a SMS to inform me my next payment will be R899.00.

On further investigation I find that my premium was never price locked at R844.00 as per their telephonic free Explora special contract with me.

I phoned them immediately, Spoke to Sihle on reference no. ********** 2/I 288. He informed me he noticed that they never activated my price lock and that he would escalate the matter and that they (DStv) would phone me back.

24 hours later still no call from DStv. I phoned them again. Spoke to Onthatile on reference no. ********** 2/I 289. Her response was that Sihle did not make any notes, nor escalated the matter. She will do same.

Went onto Twitter to voice my concern #DStvincompitentcallcentre. A few messages were exchanged between myself and a "JJC" from DStv Care but still no answers or outcome. Actually got the impression that "JJC" does not know if he/she is coming or going.

Some his responses : He have checked and there is no Price Locked under my account. ????? how is that possible. The call center know about it. Also asked me if I have possibly been contacted by "On Air" as they are 3rd party retailers that sells DStv decoders. ???? I would have told him so. I have never even heard of them.

I have supp**** them with ALL reference no's of my dealings with their call center and suggested they listen to the recordings as this could confirm everything.

DStv always tells one that all conversations with them are recorded. So why not listen to what was said instead of beating around the bush.

I cannot help but to wonder how and where does DStv get these most *********** employees and worst of all to allow them to speak to the public and on social media. Try and speak to a supervisor or manager.......impossible. They don't exist.

Where to from here. I think my only salutation would be to get DStv out of my life once and for all, let them come and fetch their Explora keep their Price Lock whilst I will operate via the internet hassle free..... and I believe 100% better programs and best of all NO REPEATS.

Rupert, DStv is not even proving sub-standard service. They are not supplying any service at all. It's been a week now with no response from @DStvCare regarding the above. Nothing has come of the promises made by their Desiree Lesuthu, from DStv Care, who phoned me, reference no. I 305 of 26 April 2018 nor from her colleges ~MGS, ~AMN, ~JJC also from DStv Care. Not only did DStv break the terms and conditions of their Price Lock Promotion they offered me, which I accepted, but they are also spreading false advertising on DStv and social media regarding their so called Price Lock promotions. The public should be made aware of the false intentions of DStv. The public should also be made aware of the intention behind this 24 month price lock promotions of DStv. If I cannot achieve making public aware of this via hellopeter.com , I will certainly revert to other ways and means of running an campaign to alert the public.

Still NO FEEDBACK. One just needs to look at all the complaints on hellopeter against DStv to know you are dealing with ****. @DStvCare is absolutely totally *********** not even to talk about their call centre or their so called mangers that does not exist. All the 100’s of unhappy DStv customers should stand together and start a campaign to get rid of DStv. I saw a Youtube video clip this weekend advertising a new NON DStv decoder available on the market. I believe that DSTV will no longer be required within the very near future, with a new law coming up regarding digital channel scrambling. You would only need to buy a decoder (NOT A DStv DECODER) and connect. No monthly premiums or subscriptions and best of all, no repeats. I believe that’s the reason behind DStv making all these Explora specials available on contract for 24 months is to secure an income for them for at least the next 2 years as DStv are well aware that their time is counted.
