DSTV with their block on VPNs suck.
DSTV for unfair reasons block VPNs - so if you are using a VPN, you are unable to what their DSTV Now service - it is BLOCKED. Yesterday I spoke with a consultant at their call center & she undertook to ask someone in their technical department to unblock my service & to call me to discuss the issue. Needless to say, I haven't heard a word from anyone & honestly don't expect to. DSTV certainly know how to charge & don't miss their annual price increases - but we the suckers can't enjoy the full service that we pay for. With an attitude like theirs together with the poor service, I can understand why they have lost so many of their customers - I'm considering cancelling their service after this experience. It's going to be interesting to see if anyone contacts me after I post this. If they do by some small chance respond, I hope that it will be someone senior in their technical department - but as I said, I'm not holding my breath. **** Additionally, DSTV knows how to send reminders for payment every month - but I have to send them an e-mail every month requesting an invoice. You would think that a multi-billion organization like this one would send monthly invoices as a matter of course - ha, fat chance. If I had to treat my customers, the way they do theirs - I would be out of business by now - they are just so lucky that there isn't an alternative.
