DSTV WILL LOSE MANY CUSTOMERS
Our DsTV got a be1 error. We googled a way to fix it and it seemed like the only way was to take it in to the service centre for repair. My husband drove to Umhlanga only to be told that they can't fix it and we have to pay in close to R2000 and upgrade to the Explora. This bullying tactic is not going to work and we do not want to pay more and upgrade to the Explora. Furthermore, I KNOW that the be1 error message can be fixed because decoders with this error message were being repaired by the service centre back in 2008, which was long before the Explora was introduced. We have therefore been forced to cancel our DsTV subscription. I know several other people who have said that they too will not be bul**** into upgrading to Explora and when their old decoders stop working, they will also be forced to cancel their subscriptions. I want an answer from Multichoice as to why they are refusing to service the old decoders when I know that this error can easily be sorted out for us.
