DSTV: We pray for streaming tv

I think anybody reading this may get bored, because it is the latest in a few complaints about DSTV. I wrote a few complaints about unbalanced sport broadcasting and every time DSTV responds, surely to show that they care, but the response is every time meaningless because it just says it will refer the matter to the sporting division. No comment, no improvement, no change. Actually the response says: "Complain like you want, we will do as we want". And I guess this is why numbers of viewers already stopped their DSTV subscriptions. I would have as well if it was not for my wife's soapies, but I am sure I will find another way for her to watch this soon. At least heir was an article on News24to the effect "Streaming tv, the end of DSTV?" So it seems as if the non-caring monopoly may be dented at last? It will make my year if there will be another option to subscribe to, one where I have a choice what to watch and then only pay for that and one where I can get to watch what I really want to watch.

I am not asking DSTV any more to consider my comments. They just don't. And referring it to the sport division is not a solution. There is even less care over there. Decisions were made to stop high level boxing broadcasting to save money quite possibly to fund their other favourites like WWE, or even "invest" more in soccer in order to allow it to absolutely dominate the sporting broadcasting even more.

So, I hope for fellow disgruntled viewers that there is a ray of sunshine somewhere in the future. I hope for some medium of broadcasting where we can watch what we would like to and not what is decided for us to watch.
