DSTV wants bank details over the phone!

DSTV have advertised a deal for an Explora installed free and a set rate per month. I smsed thte required word in to be contacted to accept this deal. When the consultant phoned, she asked for my ID, address and Bank account number and details. Who is their right mind would give bank account details to ANYONE over the phone? Because I refused, I cannot have the deal. Wake up DSTV - no one other company asks for your bank details over the phone as a security precaution.
