DSTV Walker

I have a WALKER device and just got told they are discontinuing this service. This means I can throw away the device as it can only be used for DSTV. How can a company sell you a handset and then discontinue the service? Kind regards, Mariaan

Good day Neil

Thank you for sending us your query.

As technology has evolved, service like DStv Mobile is slowly becoming outdated. We encourage our customers to use our DStv Now service, which is available online or on an app as it gives our customers access to a large number of DStv channels to live stream, as well as to Catch Up content to stream or download.

For customers who are still using DStv Mobile, please note that we’re no longer providing technical support for Driftas. If your Drifta is faulty, we can replace it with a Walka 4.3 at R300.

However, we’re still providing technical support for the Walka 4.3 and Walka 7v2. This will depend on network coverage and signal strength.

Should the Walka become faulty, it should be tested and depending on the outcome. We may need to replace it.

Thanks again for bringing this matter to our attention. Your feedback is important to us.

Kind regards

Dinah
