DSTV WALKA SERVICE
I have a Walka 7 and at 09:35 this morning I switched it on and it was working and I could look at SS1. At about 09:55 my Walka went off and indicated Error E19-4 Services scrambled. I have paid my account on 31 August 2018 for September 2018 and my Dstv is valid until 5 October 2018. When I phoned the dstv Cape Town they informed me the Walka is no longer valid and is from 18 August 2018 suspended in Kuilsriver, and can no longer be used. If the Walka service has been suspended why was I not informed of this decision as I have been looking at Dstv on the Walka every weekend on SS1. I would like to know why am I still paying R55.00 for the Walka and why can it not be serviced as I did not ask for the service to be suspended. I am a pensioner and cannot afford to pay for the full Dstv package to see SS1.

Best regards,
Dear Heinrich,
It is with regret that we learn of the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced with our service. Please accept our sincerest apologies in this regard.
Our intention is certainly not to provide a sub-standard service to our customers.
We are aware of the technical problem on our DStv mobile devices. Our technical team is working to resolve this problem as soon as possible. Signal is being sent to devices on an hourly basis to clear this error.
When MultiChoice launched its mobile TV service in 2010, the technology was fresh and new. Over the last few years, technologies and standards have evolved as broadband access continues to grow. This has resulted in the supply of our mobile TV devices becoming limited.
However, we have not communicated that we are doing a complete shutdown of mobile services and any communication around this will communicated in due course and the way forward around customers that still use DStv mobile devices like the Walka 7.
We have escalated to our technical department to reinstate the device and assist accordingly.
Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us send an email to *** .
Kind regards
Edward.
